Hello all! I hope everyone is doing well, especially in light of all that is going on in the world. I know this can be a very overwhelming time, with so many new adjustments occurring in our daily lives. Many of you have moved to online classes for the rest of the semester, social events have been cancelled, and being six feet away from your friends is the new normal. I have really struggled to trust God in these times of so much uncertainty. It has especially been strange being back at home and not away at college. It felt like my whole world crumbled in front of me. Even being back home, I don't have the opportunity to visit my favorite places and see my beautiful friends. Despite the shock of this new reality, I know God is guiding my life and using these things on behalf of my good. It may seem like everything is going wrong, but I know that God is still on the throne. He is the king of this universe.
Here are some verses that have been encouraging me lately:
1. "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" ~Matthew 6:26
2. "You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you."
~Psalm 91:5-7
3. "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
~Romans 8:28
4. "Even though I walk through the darkest valley,I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."
~Psalm 23:4
