"Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: 'Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily"
-Isaiah 28:16
What is your foundation? What is the center of your life?
God is always there for you. The question then becomes.. will you choose to rely on Him, or will you try to go through life just by yourself? God is waiting for you to rely on Him. He has planned out your steps. Will you follow the direction God has planned for your life?
When the storms of life come, how will you withstand the harsh winds? You must have your roots deeply planted in Christ if you want to have the strength to withstand the tough times. If you are not planted deeply in Christ, you will tremble and eventually fall. Without Him, you will feel shame, fear, and despair. But with your roots firmly planted in Christ, you can and will make it through the winds and rains.
Personally, I have often strayed from having Christ at the center of my life. I will replace Him with other outside personal goals in dance, art, school, social media, etc. When I stray from Him though, I feel an indescribable emptiness that simply cannot be filled with personal achievements. It can be hard to balance all the activities of life, but, ultimately, none of those things really matter. Only God truly matters.
"Choose this day whom you will serve."
What is your foundation?
Who will you serve?
I love you all! Have a great day!
