Seasons

Writer's picture: DIVEDIVE

To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:

A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted; A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up; A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing; A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away; A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak; A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8).

"He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end" (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

I love the above verses because they remind me that through all the seasons of life, God has a plan and purpose for me! He knows all the events that will ever occur in your life. He knows the good days. He knows the bad days. He knows everything that you will ever go through.

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11).

Wow! Oh how sweet it is to know that God sees the path set before us! It gives me tremendous comfort to know that Jesus sees how my life will go. With this in mind, I can ask Him for help to make decisions. Since He already knows which way my life will go, asking Him for help making decisions gives Him the opportunity to speak into my life.

"There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand" (Proverbs 19:21).

I want to be going with God's will for my life, not struggling against it. By inviting Him to speak in my life, I can check to ensure that I am following God's will. How about you? Are you inviting God to speak into your life? Are you inviting Him into the season you are going through? And, are you appreciative for the season of life you are currently in (even if it is tremendously hard)? Everything you are going through can be used for God's purpose. Even though God did not cause your pain, He can certainly use the awful things you have gone through for good.

"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28).

What season of life are you in? Is there any way I can pray for you?

I love you all! Have a blessed day!

Xoxo,

Maddy
